Nice flow image. I'm either try to get stop action on the water or a nice smooth flow pattern. Neutral density and/or polarizer filters are good for getting extended exposure times without overexposing te image.
Good challenge interpretation and very, very accurate. You have to have some understanding of and respect for a harsh environment like the Sonoran desert in summer. Forget that and you will get in trouble fast. I did everything possible to minimize the dangers... I went "with the flow" - Steve

Border IMO is too heavy.
Light at top of photo gets cut off either by cropping or original.
Steve loves nature photography so meets challenge well.

Nice dynamic lines create a good abstract piece. I feel personally that the focus (what there is of it) should be shared by something other than that one stalk. I think it would make for a more dynamic composition leading the eye around more. 7

Her face is too dim for me, though, so it doesn't draw me in as much as I'd like. Decent shots that meet the challenge define 5 for me, so 5 it is.
