I have to think this is something like the 2 in 1 feature on the oly 5050. I don't know any other way to change the focal length so radically in one page except to have a printed one cut out next to it or something. Good illustration of unique technique, but I don't really think it makes for a more pleasing photo. More intriguing to the photographer methinks than aesthetically good.
