Punked-Up..jpgby judojoeComment by one2one: She definitely conveys attitude. A darker bg may have helped concentrating our eyes on hers more. I think this model would have looked better in the gangster image. ;] |

Gangster-.jpgby judojoeComment by one2one: Good shot and well lit but your model doesn't look like a gangster. I wouldn't be afraid of this particular gangster if I ever met her. ;] She needs to look meaner, if that's at all possible for this model. |

Punked-Up..jpgby judojoeComment by rlewis: Wow, this conveys attitude....very nice. I am not sure about the busy background. It actually could be adding to the image. I would like to see it without the busy background to see if it were better....it may not be. |

Gangster-.jpgby judojoeComment by rlewis: I like this type pose. This is well done. On my laptop monitor the face looks a little overexposed with a loss of color. |

Dance Charlotte 640.jpgby judojoeComment by KaDi: In reaction to the forum question...
I think this is a sweet image. It shows her extension and theatrical quality. The costume, however, is all that distinguishes her as "dancer" rather than gymnast. Perhaps, a pose with a slightly more lifted head and left arm...more sparkles in the costume to enhance the concept...? i don't know.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is an expertly executed image. But...the pink background feels, at first, unnatural. The ponytail drags as opposed to dances. The eyes, the oh-so-ever-important eyes, are upside down with the wonderful smile. These comments are aided by "Beetle's" comment that maybe this is not 'the' pose. I hope that there will be others who might agree that this is not "the pose".... Still, it is a wonderful image and, I agree, would make a delightful addition to a series of similar images.
What else can you show us? |

Dance Charlotte 640.jpgby judojoeComment by Beetle: In answer to your forum thread question (photo for the lady's parents)
To be honest, I wouldn't pick this pose as something for THE photo to be given/framed.
I think it is a nice shot that would look great as part of a series, but I would prefer a different pose for THE photo. |

Holly-Pose.jpgby judojoeComment by vxpra: Great shot.
This brought to mind a funny story. About twenty years ago when I was in high school one of my female friends was complaining to a group of us about how much trouble she was having getting dates. One of my other friends pointed out- 1) Your dad is an ex-marine, and not just a marine but a spec ops, kill and leave no trace kinda Marine. 2) Your dad is like 6'2" 260 and nothing but muscle. 3)Your dad is the chief of Police 4) Your dad is scared to death of your Mom, so God knows what kind of wicked stuff she knows. 5) We all remember last year when you whooped your Moms butt in Karate class (she really did). Therefore, we're all scared to death to take you on a date, one misstep and its Kobyashi Maru (we were all Trekkies) |
