Oh boooo. there was lots of lemon songs portrayed and this was my second favourite I cant believe it scored so low and finished 130/139

I love the fact that the lemon has been zested and squeezed (both rock and roll and quite original in terms of the way lemons are normally depicted on DPC)

I thought this had a nice textured feel to it (especially the pith on the inside of the lemon

I'm going to leave my own self a comment because I don't want to mess up the poem with chatter. This side - Illustrated Word (and thank you again, Judy!!!) - is a great outlet for my noire side. I know this one is a bit heavy, but man, it feels good - :op

I'm a huge Dorothy Parker fan. Probably because I can identify with her wit, her anger, and her sorrow. Every single one of the verses of that poem stands on its own and is yet part of the whole. I feel it's a masterpiece. And I hope I did it justice by pairing it with my image.

I'm not sure what processing you did, but I really like how this came out. You've captured quite the expression there. My little nitpick would be what appears to be a mouth towards the top; somehow it's begging for attention.

I almost thought it was a light painting from the thumbnail. Jutilda's overlay works nicely here, though I can see it extending a bit (and darker) below as well, maybe. A nice juxtaposition of shape and flow.
