Whatever 20by AliciaComment by MelonMusketeer: That "whooshing" filter is pretty cool stuff. I hope the weather warms up for you while you are here in Florida. At least it isn't snowing LOL. I look forward to seeing some shots from wherever you are for vacation. |

Whatever 14aby AliciaComment by CNovack: I love the improved version for now you do not have the distracting overexposed scene outside the red retaining wall of the restaurant. The black border really makes the beautiful rich reds pop off the scene. Love the way the light illuminates/highlights the back of the chairs...it makes the scene ever so more inviting. The setting, the lighting, and the colors really make you want to sit down and dine here. While there is yet no food placed on the table there is the tantalizing 'picture' of the margarita showing the drink selection - it is almost like there is a welcoming drink set there waiting for the viewer to take a seat, take a sip, and settle in. I *do* have one little suggestion to make the scene even better. The addition of the thick black border is wonderful but it caused one slight problem. It looks odd that the umbrella base is just suddenly 'cut off' as it rises from the table center. It is like a hard cut from a scene in a movie from the height of an action scene to break away to a romance scene:-) Simple way to fix that 'hard cut' is to signal to the eye that the scene ends with a smooth transition is to insert a 4 to 6 pixel wide thin white border about 10 pixels above and below where the photo composition ends. That way you have the restaurant scene layered between a 10 pixel wide black border then the 4 pixel wide white border then finally the large thick black border. |
