Pearly Whitesby JaimesonComment by OneSweetSin: Greetings from the Critique Club.
White on white definately a tough challenge to avoid the over exposured areas which cause your subject to blend in with the background and that is what happened with two of the three drops here.
This appears to be slightly out of focus and just needs a little less softness to it.
Your composition is good and your use of thirds is well excuted. As for meeting the challenge. Yes without any question you met it.

Waitby JaimesonComment by mycelium: great photo. looks like you have a very patient and obedient canine friend! I love the brick in the background. If you could do something to bring out the texture in your dog's fur, I think that would help - the strong texture in the background distracts from the apparent smoothness of the fur. Something like this:
I ran a couple of passes of USM on the whole image and then masked out the background and floor so the only parts that were sharpened were your dog. Then I did a bit of dodging on the fur highlights to amplify contrast. Then a bit of NeatImage mostly on the background and the floor. As bear_music might say, this is "by no means a definitive rework," but maybe it's an adequate illustration of what I'm saying.

Darth Maulby JaimesonComment by donniev: For some reason this comes across better as a thumbnail. I will assume that is just my warped perception and not let it affect my rating. |

One Windowby JaimesonComment by OneSweetSin: Greetings from the Critique Club
You framed your subject well. Bricks all around
THere is one window as your title states that grabs for the attention but thats all the interest there is in this photo.
Your subject matter here just holds no interest to most, had you had a person in that window or some object it could have done a lot for this photo but not as it appears here.
I do see some graininess here so it obviously would fit the challenge.
