Boys and Treesby manic35Comment by antares1966: Wow what a cool tree! You did a great job of maintaining detail in the darker parts of the tree and still not significantly blowing out the bright areas in the background. |

Great Expectationsby manic35Comment by Melethia: Nice to see you and Matt back! This is a lovely portrait. I'm not a portrait photographer, but to the untrained eye (namely mine) this is very well done. I like the pose, the lighting works perfectly, they both look warm and natural, and the processing doesn't look like "processing" - it fits the mood and the couple very well. The eyes in particular look very natural, very real - you did a great job not overdoing them but bringing them out just enough. I'm betting they're very delighted with the results! |

Midlifeby manic35Comment by talj: Well, he looks great for his age :o) Nice composition, I like the position of the 'model' in the frame. If it was my shot I'd have cropped the tiny git of detail on his t-shirt at the bottom of the frame out and possibly tried to get rid of the yellow sticker underneath his hand (some how) as they are a little distrcting...but then again I am very picky! ;o) |

Midlifeby manic35Comment by faery: Really strong image: the bars and the tones of grey and russet work so well together. The expression says it all - in fact it could speak for itself without the title. I think the whole composition comes together really well. Good Luck! |
