Feel the earthby KitaComment by posthumous: This should have scored better. The boy is a good foil for the texture of the ground. I gave it a 6, but really it was a 6 and a half... :) |

Bug Eyesby KitaComment by puzzled: Love the title! I like this a lot, but wish the background was more blurred, since the eye is drawn away from the lights due to the strong lines and colors of the background. |

The Golden Stairsby KitaComment by kteach: Golden Books? If they are.. I've never really looked at the characters on them so closely. Cute idea! |

Feel the earthby KitaComment by melismatica: I like the saturated colors of the boys clothes in contrast to the more neutral background. His skin has that overly smooth, plastic-looking processed quality that I find disturbing though. The composition is a bit weird to me. |

Feel the earthby KitaComment by joebok: I think the kid is too centered - having him off center a bit, and getting more ground in, would make it better I think. |

Feel the earthby KitaComment by pacpinto: Sorry, too out of focus or shaken. To get a good shot of kids you often need to use the fastest shutter speed your camera allows... |

The Golden Stairsby KitaComment by LucidLotus: Is this Golden as in Golden Books? Took me a while to figure out the reference, but now that I have it brings back great memories. I love the nice golden color, the lighting is perfect, the focus is excellent which is necessary for a closeup like this. I love the worn edges, gives the feeling the books have been used - though I'm not sure if everyone would know these are books just from the image. Still the fun drawings on the gold foil spines is fun and interesting. I think cropping off that last book at the bottom and the beginning of the next one at the top might tie the whole thing up nicely since there are some slight focus flaws on those two areas. Nice simple set up that has been well executed. 6. |
