The Urban Explorerby rob_franklinComment by e301: That balance of 'envoronment' and figure is hard to strike: I'm unsure of it here. The workd is great, though feels over-processed to my eye, and i wonder if there's enough character in that pose/figure to really communicate. I think it suffers most through a lack of local contrast about his face/head - placed against darker areas it might have been more effective. |

The Urban Explorerby rob_franklinComment by RKT: ...looks like a R.F. shot?...this looks like such a great place to shoot and the processing is nice and "sooty" but not too sooty, really nice clarity and detail. |

The Urban Explorerby rob_franklinComment by temba: I like this, particularly the contrast between the devasted interior and the daylight outside. What I'm not sure about is the portrait bit - ideally, I think I want to see more of the subject's face - some interaction between them and the photographer. |

Lost in Timeby rob_franklinComment by Skip: i'm sure there's a story here somewhere, but you've put most of the burden on me and my imagination to draw it out, rather than offering much in the way of imagery. it's a guy walking away from me. nothing of interest to clue me in as to where he's going or where he's coming from? more than likely, you could have gotten a better shot at the bus stop. |

Lost in Timeby rob_franklinComment by espy2: I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.
To me this is an uninteresting candid of the back of a man walking to the bus or home. I really find little "kick", if you will, and there is really no story. The title says lost in time, but I don't get that from the photo either. It isn't like he is dressed in period clothes or looks lost. But I don't vote on titles anyway. The candid itself just doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. It's a 3 photo to me. |

Lost in Timeby rob_franklinComment by RyShu: The composition would be stronger if you cropped the vehicle from the right edge of the frame. It's a bit distracting. |
