Formby KarenNfldComment by ursula: In my picky mind, I am sitting here wishing the lines of the blinds behind the vase were perfectly parallel to the edges of the photo. On the other hand, perfect perfection is overrated, and often makes for boring photographs. I like this photo. |

Two Heartsby KarenNfldComment by ursula: Bleeding heart look almost scary here. Interesting. I find particularly interesting how the stem goes off into the distance, at a diagonal, almost as if the hearts are contemplating some evil deed. The leaves are saying, "No, no, don't go, don't do that!" Sorry, I tend to anthropomorphize. And the plants tend to pythomorphize, really :) I got to think about this picture. I like it, but I also don't in a curious way. I think I am going by stereotypes as plants, in particular flowers, being "nice", and here, they feel rather aggressive to me. Very interesting. |

Adagio by KarenNfldComment by ursula: Perfect title for a most beautiful photo. Almost a lento, or even a grave. But adagio lets you imagine more, a bit more movement. Again, the sharpness/blur is perfect. The colour scheme is gorgeous, orange on blue is one of the most satisfying colour combinations ever. |

Then Came the Morningby KarenNfldComment by escapetooz: I really like the contrast here. I was browsing through your fives to see if I thought any didn't fit and this one stuck out. Free studies are always harsher scoring. This is a nice shot! |
