Drink or clean?by kari1Comment by kteach: I think the best part of this shot is the way the grass goes from green to brown... it just wouldn't be as good if it were all one color. |

The way to a womans heart ...by kari1Comment by Tammer: ...unless she's allergic to strawberries (ha, ha). Good idea, I wonder if a different light source or lighting angle would lessen the flash hot spots? |

Faith ...by kari1Comment by Tammer: I like the lighting and composition. The only thing I find distracting is the how the light plays off the back/chair arm on the rigth hand side. |

Faith ...by kari1Comment by vadvirag: Great lighting, it's a nice soft portrait. Not immediately appearent that it's the Bible that she is reading, but I like this one. |

Faith ...by kari1Comment by KHolt: Great lighting, and clarity. A nice calming effect has been achieved by this photo. If I was being really picky, I'd say that a couple of stray hairs are a little distracting. |

High Jump Commencesby kari1Comment by loseme: *Critique Club*
"High Jump Commences" fits perfectly into the Motion Panning challenge. Not too bad of a placement or score, this was a though challenge.
I really think the most important and best aspect of your shot is the focal point being his face. You have captured so much of what makes us human by allowing the focus to be his determination. The blur is nice and shows the fast past movement. I think it the shot would have scored a little higher if there were no other people in the background, but I am sure this was a hard enough shot to take. Also I think you took a brave step with adding such a thick border but it really works for me. The only other thing I would try would be to increase the contrast some jus to make the shot brighter. Great work. |

Faith ...by kari1Comment by KiwiShotz: This si the sort of photo I wish I could take. Ever since Mother challeng I've been wanting this effect but I really didn't think I could get it right so I chickened out and didn't try. |
