the quality is good-it's in focus, clear and crisp etc.
But there is nothing "special" about the picture.
there is no story here.
Maybe if the background include something that could us more about this person?
like his job or where he lives or what he is doing there?
as it is, it looks like a picture used for a work magazine employee of the month :-)
nice expression though.

I like the choice of subject and the textures involved. I feel like the shot is presented a bit too obliquely. My eye tends to build up too much speed and doesn't rest on the subject. Good job.
