Takenby Bruce_the_RobertComment by manish: Very nice and subtle. I like the shades here and the perfect setup for the theme. On a different note this makes me feel awfully sad by the very thought. Your pic is making me feel so much! |

Day 17 - Man on Benchby Bruce_the_RobertComment by hanneke: I can't help myself; gotto comment on this one ;)
this is a beautiful portrait of this man. You composed this photo in a very good way. The toning is also very nice, but might need a little levels to get a little bit of a fresh look (you know what I mean?)
maybe if you're gonna try again, use a bigger aperture so the background fades a little bit more. the people standing behind him catch a lot of attention and I think it's better that this man gets all the attention he deserves in this photo. |

Takenby Bruce_the_RobertComment by JPBergin: I gave this photo a 10 because I see no technical flaws; I think the color you chose adds the right mood to it and the angle works well too. Most of all I thought it fit the theme of the contest better than any of the others. Great job and thanks for sharing! |

View from a moving trainby Bruce_the_RobertComment by violinist123: Some mechanical monstrosity, shown out of any sort of context with numerous distractions obscuring the view and reflections showing up on a window between the camera and the subject. Sorry, I will agree that DPC challenges tend to be pretty narrow-minded in what sort of photo floats to the top but snapping a shot of something you happen to be passing by on a train isn't going to be interesting to most people on or off the site.
If this sort of image interests you, it begs the question why you wouldn't have gone back to it or something like it and put the effort into capturing it as you would like others to see it rather than just taking what chance gave you as you cruised by at 100kph. Free studies have a 30 day submission period after all. |
