DSC_9013.jpgby wavelengthComment by Neuferland: Okay, this is extremely interesting in that I can't quite figure out what it is, LOL :)
In the thumbnail I thought it was a pig snout and now I'm still not sure! It almost looks like a skull with no nose or mouth but yet still has the pig snout aura going for it. But it's fasinating all the same! I love the water droplets on it and the DOF is wonderful. |

DSC_7839.jpgby wavelengthComment by Neuferland: Okay, this one caught my eye in the thumbnails because of the leaning trees, I'm guessing a fisheye now that I see it closer?
I love the colors and the overall composition of the shot but the curve in the middle, by the rocks is a bit disconcerting, is that a word? It makes me a touch dizzy, LOL :) The shadow in the middle is also a bit distracting, maybe dodge it just a touch so it's not so dark? But otherwise, this is a wonderful shot! :) |

Flowing Awayby wavelengthComment by ourwebstop: I've given the same basic comment on quite a few shots -- my preference (as I discovered while looking at a number of these blur shots) is for a sharp subject. When there is no sharp subject, my eye wanders around trying to find something to focus on. I also don't tend to be attracted to shots where I can't tell what I'm seeing. I find myself trying to figure out what this is (and being frustrated when I can't) rather than appreciating it as abstract art. Perhaps just a difference in artistic preference. |

{Blue}by wavelengthComment by DrAchoo: Well, I know you can do good stuff, so I'll be brief. It's all the cyan. Just kidding. It actually looks nice in this case. My biggest issue is the streamers. Why? What are they adding? Are we having a party? The glass piece also doesn't necessarily give the best refraction. I like portions (the bottleneck is neat), but I don't like other parts (the majority of black at the bulb and the blurred ring closer to the bottom). Bottom line is the whole picture doesn't give us any sense of purpose. Rikki's shots have a purpose of seeing some great refraction, but this one falls short on that count. |
