I like that. The luminance compliments the non-ugly specs - I could see an image like this feeling ugly but this is quite appealing. I'm gonna guess this is inside a candle.

I think this got lost in the shuffle during the zillions of flowers in the challenge. I like that it isn't just a single flower and the DOF shows the ones behind it. It almost looks like an umbrella. Maybe the crop which cut off the entire blossom hurt you a bit, but the vivid fuschia and green just jumps out of the thumbnails. Enjoying your portfolio!
