I really like the looming sky. The road leads your eye through the shot, and I like that the ground isn't taking up more area in the shot than it is. It gives that overwhelming nature sense with the clouds being so prominent in the shot!

An unusual view of a lock and weather-worn door. It's a relief to see your interpretation of the subject; usually such shots tend to be straight on and boring. This one has interest. It also has grain, the object of the Challenge.

Your attention to detail in the processing of this image also adds to the mystery and uniqueness.
