The light behind the flower seens very harsh. The flower is also somewhat out of focus and dark, probably because of the background. Difficult light when you have a really shadowy area and a really bright area. With a point and shoot, it is difficult to shoot such an image. Try many settings and subjects to learn which lighting your camera can depict well without blown out highlights or shadowy main subjects.

aside from being a bit on the over-exposed side, the shadows are not exposed enough. The texture in the back makes it seem busy, and overdone. I think a plain white or black background with some heavily highlighted shadows would of been a ton more interesting. I hope this helps, I don't mean to be over-critical.

The lighting imbalance between background and subject plus the slightly unsharp subject will cost you a few points unfortunately because the composition is really quite stunning
