This looks like an interesting piece of equipment. I don't know if you were going for a silhouette shot, if so, good job - lots of detail and slight light reflections are nice. If not, it is a little dark for MY tastes. The sun does detract from the equipment but it provides the nice reflection on the water. I would maybe try this it a different angle?

Personally I don't feel that the usage of grain was helpful in this image, I think it rather took it down a notch. Good catch, but I don't care for how you fit it into the challenge.

What a great job! Takes time to really do it right and this just looks wonderful. My sister and I did some for my family and we just love what can be done at home now using the software.
