Bottom Upby orussellComment by Gauti: good subject, but the division into three parts could be stronger. As it is, it just seems to be a single photo cut into 3 pieces, but not three elements that work together, if you get my drift. |

Bottom Upby orussellComment by Pug-H: The grey bar right across spoils this somewhat, and makes it more like a sextych, if that's a word. |

Bottom Upby orussellComment by DrAchoo: The buoy on the left is great. Could you have replaced the object on the right? It looks too much like a plastic bag. The color of the boat is excellent. 7 |

Bottom Upby orussellComment by riolobo: How does the division of your picture into three frames enhance the photo? How does this "tell...a story or illustrates a concept or object" better than the original image? |

Bottom Upby orussellComment by Prof_Fate: I know this meets the challenge, but I am not a big fan on just cutting up one nice shot into 3 with distracting borders. Seems too easy, no real creativity required. Having said that, this is rather nice. I think the borders are bit too big, kind of overwhelming the image itself. Nice mood to the shot. |

Bottom Upby orussellComment by rscorp: I really like the colors in this one. The cool tones, grays...really nice. Nicely presented with the border. Nothing exciting, just pretty. Good work. |

Larus grainulus - Speckled Gullby orussellComment by OneSweetSin: Greetings from the Critique Club
What could you have done to improve on this? Although it is a nice capture of the gull thisis one photo that grain doesn't help instead it takes from it.
Next other than the bird there is nothing there, the sky isn't adding interest either this is just a bird and nothing more to hold your viewer to it.
As for meeting the challenge it does meet it. The grain is there I just think this is one time grain hurt the image rather than helping it.
