Converseby jmogensenComment by mycelium: fascinating effect. did you hold a prism in front of the lens? I think a narrower ring of high distortion would be ideal. |

Converseby jmogensenComment by ahayweh: Nice abstract shot. The one eye especially makes this one stand out.. Not bad at all. |

Converseby jmogensenComment by JeffryZ: Hard to tell just what it is- even though we know it is supposed to be about shoes. Too cluttered. |

Converseby jmogensenComment by RonBeam: There are so many literal representations of gym shoes in this challenge that your choice to merely suggest them and then proceed with your story, is a bold and dare I say brilliant idea that lifts your effort out of the pile of shots laying on the floor beneath this trophy on a mantle. The "story" here, the suggestion that this young person wants something they perhaps cannot have, has been lived by us all at some point. So immediarely you have sympatico with your viewer. But what really lifts this shot to great heights is the clever use of foreground element to convey a reality/dream state that transcends the theme of merely showing shoes and forces us to look at an emotional state. This is my blue ribbon regardless of how you make out among the masses. Thanks for making me think. 10 and fav |
