Up, Up, Up!by ohsmomComment by Sonifo: This photo is to busy for me. Maybe if you got under or even closer to the subject. :) |

Up, Up, Up!by ohsmomComment by cinnamon: Wow, tighter framing would've made this a REALLY cool shot. I'd have been embarassed to just go up and ask to photograph them though! |

Up, Up, Up!by ohsmomComment by Melanie: Would have liked it better if it had been cropped to remove some of the busy background and enlarge the stopped motion subject. |

Up, Up, Up!by ohsmomComment by Gordon: The background kills this for me - maybe lying on your back on the blue mat, shooting up would have been better - if you could have talked your way in :) |

"Don't take the outside lane!"by ohsmomComment by ohsmom: Thanks everyone for your comments. The title comes from the fact that in track no one likes to run in the outside lane. On some tracks the outside lane is in terrible shape, (not this one however), plus there is the perception that you have to run farther. I framed the picture intentionally with the outside lane cut off to give that illusion of it falling off the photo. I guess you have to be a track person to get it! The pixelation that some of you were seeing is the actual color of asphalt. The grassy areas do not show that graininess, no do the white lines. I had thought about cropping the top of the photo to take off the fence, but to get the correct size (640x480) it would distort the lines so I left it as is. Plus I thought it gave a better perspective to have the upper area with the lighter area of the fence. Thanks again for all the comments! |
