Portrait in the Mangroves - Macaque 1by elee3009Comment by UNTITLED: This is great, looks like he posed for you in the studio. Looks like the camera handles the cropping real well. You should isolate the eyes and hit them with a little more sharpening and see how that looks. |

Furry Twosomeby elee3009Comment by elee3009: You honestly crack me up Mark!
The smaller monkey did move and since he was also in the darker corner of the mangrove, I lost sharpness on him. Yes, I'm really pleased with the colours as I've not edited much on most of them. As for the distance when I took this shot, I think we must have been about 8 to 10 ft from them. |

Furry Twosomeby elee3009Comment by UNTITLED: Great vacation photo of Mr & Mrs Elee3009, you guys look like you're really enjoying yourselves :-p
You must of figured out your uploading problem, looks friggin' awesome sharp, especially on the front monkey, the back monkey looks a little soft, you must of been shooting wide open on the apeture(or he moved). The color saturation looks incredible also. How far away were you? |

Mangrove Fisherman-1by elee3009Comment by UNTITLED: Very lush there, uber green. I'm going to have to go there someday. Are they fishing here? I'd like to have office space like that! Some great photos, looking forward to seeing some more of Malaysia. |

countrylife in Langkawiby elee3009Comment by UNTITLED: Malaysia looks incredibly fascinating and extremely beautiful. Very beautiful photo as well. Horizons seems tilted a little.
But come on, a Nikon, tsk, tsk! I can no longer talk to you now(*holds nose up in air and walks off*). ;-)
Really though, congratulations!!! Woohoo!!! I've heard good things about the D200, you should be very happy with it. Feels good in your hands, doesn't it? :-D |

Autumn Satin Blueby elee3009Comment by rox_rox: What a fortunate happenstance. Those colors do look unnatural; which makes for an interesting and abstract image. Really love it. |

lonesomeby elee3009Comment by rox_rox: Awesome perspective and great use of the color red! It's obvious that you consciously used the scarf to draw the viewer in and the repetition of red to pull the eye deeper into the shot. Very well executed! |

Austere Splendor of the Dark Ages: Cathedrale of Bayeux (1077 b.c.)by elee3009Comment by UNTITLED: 29 places better than me...you suck :P Oh wait, I guess that would be I suck :(
Killer tones in this one, they are really nice. Contrast is pretty good too. Not sure the square crop would of helped, would take away from your good composition. Perhaps a different composition w/o sky? Man I really like those tones, very midevil looking, goes well with the church. Darn sky :( Message edited by author 2006-04-26 10:23:19. |
