Sorry, but I am not convinced of Desolation.

Definitions of desolation on the Web:

*devastation: the state of being decayed or destroyed
*bleakness: a bleak and desolate atmosphere; "the nakedness of the landscape"
*forlornness: sadness resulting from being forsaken or abandoned
*devastation: an event that results in total destruction

A challenge entry with NO comments?? This cannot stand! Definitely meets the challenge, nice juxtaposition of colors that vividly contrast. Why the low score and dearth of feedback?? Dunno, technically a nice image but I guess it lacks that wow factor so valued by the DPC community. Nice idea and execution, IMO.
