This photo evokes lots of emotions and its strength seems to me to be in the right angle. Great job.

I think the title of the picture takes away from the otherwise good pic. Don't need to say all of that since the angle of the arm is obvious. Great shot! 7.

very very nice. creative! nice application of the challenge theme and very textbook 'rule of thirds-ish'. focus could have been a bit tighter. lighting is good. great detail. although some of the detail of the jewellry detracts from the main subject which should be the arm and the right angles. maybe a shift in the lighting would have put more of the light on the arm and hand and less on the butt. lost points for that, but overall, excellent. compositionally superb. 9

Thank you everyone for the most encouraging comments. I guess the topic police did get me ;)

For anyone who is interested this portrait of my son who is 5 and a half was done using lights from 2 reading lamps fitted with ordinary tungsten bulbs. Since I did not have a proper black backdrop I seated him in front of an open door of a darkend room. To cut reflection from the left side a clothes rack with a dark bedsheet was kept on the left. Finally to get the jaw line on the dark side the white door at th back was angled just enough
