Peninsulaby pinbokeshattaComment by fotomann_forever: I like how you let the curve of the beach arch off the shot. Good composition. I would've liked to seen the horizon a little higher into the top third of the photo, but overall the shot is beautiful. 9 |

Vistaby pinbokeshattaComment by sfalice: Greetings from the Critique Club
You have many of the elements of a great image here. A different time of day (early morning or late afternoon) might be the time to get that skyline crisp and sharp. And if you could persuade that guy with the red shirt to show up at that critical time, and if you were just a bit higher on the hill, to show more of the guy and his great red shirt, this would come off as a super image.
The last thing I'd suggest you look for is the formula of 1/3 and 2/3. This image is divided pretty much in half. One half is sky and cloud, the other half scenery. If you have a great sky, think about giving that 2/3rds of the picture; if you have a super landscape, give that prime billing.
Okay, I've probably talked too much about this really quite nice image. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work on DPChallenge. You're doing fine. |

Vistaby pinbokeshattaComment by LeeD: I think this has a lot of potential, but the time of day you chose is a difficult one. The lighting is too harsh IMHO |

Vistaby pinbokeshattaComment by xtabintun: I would've gone up the hill more to get more of the immediate subject (the man on the bench) in the picture. Also, it seems like your horizon is slightly tilted. |

Feeling TINYby pinbokeshattaComment by Tammer: For me, this would have been even more dramatic if it was taken from an even lower angle - If you were truly on the ground and looking up. Too bad about the guy in between the two main subjects as He's a bit of a distraction to me. |
