Coming from the "Want Comments?" thread. Several things jump out at me in this photo. The eyes, while they have sensational catchlights seem unnaturally lightened, particularly the eye-whites. They may not be as it appears she is facing a very bright lightsource and the white could just be reflecting heavily, but it's detracting for me. The hindu mark on her forhead seems photoshopped in. I realize it's probably not, but something about it seems off. Is it a stick-on? Aren't they usually added with pencil? I would also clone out the tiny portion of the flower showing on the gown at the bottom of the frame. Lastly, her hair gets lost in your dark background. I wonder if a B/W conversion would mask some of these elements?

Coming from the "Want Comments" thread. You have great focus on the bee! I would like hte flower petals to be in focus as well, or at least the ones in the front. I was using IE to toy with the composition a bit and I found it more interesting with the tips of the petals on the top and left cropped off to give a less centered appearance. All a matter of preferences.

I find the eyes really amazing. I love portraits and think this would have been a lot better if you would have got the head angled more and not directly at the camera. All in all it is a good shot and a keeper.

I like it. I like the fact that the whole flower is in the shot and it is not so close up that I can't get perspective. The highlights look a little blown out but that could be from that bright star in the sky we call the sun. It looks like a bee. Maybe a good title would be Harvesting. The background seems a little busy but I don't think that could be avoided. If I was into shots of bugs I would want a print of this on my wall. Good photo and keep up the good work.
