Here is looks so pretty, clean and crisp. . .so unsuspecting of what its future holds and how sad its history would be.

This was a perfect day to shoot this with those gray ominous clouds. The rich golden grass tho makes a beautiful impressive photo.

I really love this story and these pictures.

Kat, that is FASCINATING! I went to the website and read all about it. I do believe that a place that has had such horror within its walls can leave behind very tangible spirits. I can almost feel them as I look at this photo.

Wow! I'm glad you shared that with us. It is extremely interesting. And, incredibly sad to think about how much sorrow occurred there.

I'm not sure I would want to go in either.

Edit: I can't type tonight again.

Kat, i can't beleive I didn't think about Waverly!!! My son has gotten to know the owners and has spent most of his free time there for the past 18 monthes. He has been through the inside many times and even on the roof. I bet he could have gotten me access to at least shoot the outside up close. You beat me to it already though. Dang!!

These are very nice shots. The building has so many interesting angles.

This has a forboding sense, not knowing the story. I like the diagonal line that the burm in front, creates.

Very bright! I guess that's a good colour for a Mexican restaurant, makes you think of warm/hot food.

Yesterday is awesome :) What a great sunset you had. I love the old feel of the building.

I wonder what Mexican food in Louisville tastes like. It seems when we lived in Ft. Knox, we had a hard time finding Mexican food that tasted worth a darn -- course -- we may be just huge Mexican food snobs coming from where it originates :)

I think the power lines actually work in the image.
i think they give it that urban feel and show more of where the building is.
