Nice shot of the girl and her instrument, but the environmental aspect is not so strong

Not bad but somehow the girl is not as clear as is the harmonica and the wall behind her, did you blur her or is this taken at a long shutterspeed? Anyway, she seems out of focus and it´s definately hurting the shot.

I think it might have been better if you'd shown us more of (what I can only deduce must be) the tic-tac-toe board. It's a nice idea, but it could have been better executed.

Hey, that's what my title was! GREAT TITLE!! lol. I love the DPC line too. Very clever.
I'm not sure I love the blue duo-tone effect all that much. That's just me, though.
Also, your sujcet looks calm and collected, instead of crazy.
I'm still chuckling over your idea though.. I know dpc drives me crazy sometimes.

I really liked this shot. It's a beautiful candid - well lit, well composed. Her face could have maybe been a tad sharper. I like the inclusion of the cross in the background, so that you can tell she is playing in church. Personally, I think this should have scored higher, but who knows...

The subject is clear: a lens cap. The composition is good, I like that table of old woman game (as we call it literally here). The issue here is focus and light. This is not a challenging situation to focus. May be you had shot it handheld in low ligh and get a sort of camera shake. Then a tripod or standing was helped a lot. The light is a matter of taste, it´s to harsh, revealing to many hot spots and glares. Yes, reflective surfaces are challenging.

From the CTP MkII

First Impression: WOW. Love this one. Really good IMO

Composition: Great. She on thirds, the neck of the cello making a diagonal, the free space on top left...

Subject: Nice. Maybe some people voted you down because they expected a church, but this shot is very subtle and acurate for the challenge. She is very nice.

Technical: Colors are great, focus is tack sharp on her, the lighty blurred BG works very well.

Improvement: to improve your score you must change the border...LOL I supose many of the commenters would say that. I would have preffered a thiner and black one, but it's OK like is.

Summary: Wonderful. Sorry it didn't scored better, because it deserved more IMO.

From the CTP MkII

First Impression: Sorry for the score, but it doesn't seem of DPC's taste.

Composition: Not bad, but the face, in which you can see part of the nose is a bit strange. I mean, it would be better if the entire nose was in the image or nothing at all.

Subject: The idea is great. But the lady doesn't seem crazy.

Technical: the duotone is nice, but blue is a color that transmits peace, quietness, and not crazyness. Maybe a duotone in oranges or reds would work better for your idea. The light of the face is a bit harsh.

Improvement: I've said some things up^^.

Summary: Not very for DPCers. Keep shooting.

only if the other corner is an O! I like the composition and the clear game pieces in this photo, good job controlling glare, only thing is maybe a little sharpening could help this photo, but nice work
