DSC_0035.gifby MiykaelComment by samtrundle: The exposure here is spot on - but a tripod would be a really great investment. It's a bit of a pain sometimes to carry around, but really worth it. It depends on the lens you are using, but I find with my standard walking around 18-125 sigma lens that shooting at speeds slower than about 1/60th of a second hand held leads to a soft image. The camera shake here is noticeable - I doubt there's many people floating around who can hand hold at half a second. If you can't be bothered carrying a tripod - try putting the camera on a solid surface. |

Morganby MiykaelComment by taterbug: Great perspective. Is that a prussian blue? I love those cats! Nice capture. I really like the eyes. Very cool. |

DSC_0041.gifby MiykaelComment by rasdub: Definitely your best shot. I'd highly recommend a tripod and then another visit to this same spot. Good work and enjoy the D70.

DSC_0028.gifby MiykaelComment by rasdub: I think this is one of your best shots. I like the depth of field and the line up towards the upper part of the waterfall. I would crop it just above that stick near the bottom. The stick is kind of a distraction.

DSC_0117.gifby MiykaelComment by rasdub: This isn't a very interesting shot, at least not like some of your other waterfall shots. The color also seems really flat. A longer shutter speed would have at least made the water more attractive instead of the stop action. |

DSC_0035.gifby MiykaelComment by rasdub: I think you are on the right track. You can tell with this picture that you hand held the shot as things are quite blurry. I think you could have zoomed in more on this shot. The left portion of the picture is pretty boring and leads your eyes away from the nice capture of the waterfall. Get yourself a tridpod and you will see all the difference. You are on your way though...enjoy the D70 (I love mine)

Maxby MiykaelComment by Jutilda: Oh my god. Love love this one. I'm such an animal freak and this pooch's face is adorable. Looks like a Benji type - great capture with the nice tone and clarity. His eyes are wonderfully kind. |
