Over the cloudsby M&MComment by jah_luv: Although this is very subtle in the use of color, and an overall pretty pic, I just feel that the clouds, being the subjects, are too busy, and causes the eye to search the photo for all of their details, disrupting any attempt at stillness. |

Chain Bridge by night in Budapestby M&MComment by lucienaw: (¯`·._.·[Critique Club]·._.·´¯)
This is a very hard photograph for me to point out anything that's remotley wrong in the image. Your camera settings could not have been better adjusted, allowing for a beautiful image of the golden colours, crisp focus, and slick headlight trails. As you've probably read from your comments, this is certainly worthy to be in the top 5 and I was suprised when it missed. I think the voters in this competition may have been looking more for subject that they can see all of, although that can hardly be done with the angle you used to capture the bridge. It's unfortunate that the photo isn't quite central as I think that the ornate building in the background would have looked perfecty with a straight bridge leading up to it; however, the POV you used did help to bring out a little more of the depth and helps to enhance some of the details that could otherwise be lost.
The light in the top left also keeps the viewers a little distracted but it was rather unavoidable. I think the only real reason that you didn't achieve a higher place was your focus on the subject of this image. It's hard to tell if it was the bridge or the building in the background and so our eyes roam over it not quite knowing where to look to judge the picture as a whole.
Overall, I think that there is very little that can be said about improving this image. You've implemented the lighting a angle perfectly with excellent use of your Nikon.
Good Luck for all Future Competitions!
