An idea that two others seem to have come up with, LOL. I like the composition of this shot, the idea and the look on the cat's face, so fits the title. The things that bother me personally a bit is the the overall shot seems very dull and lacking any POW factor, maybe if you played with the levels a little bit and worked the color balance to bring out the eyes more? Also there doesn't seem to be any DOF on this, it all appears a little soft overall. I like that I can see the definition of the face, just which it jumped out at me a little more. A 7

I love your composition. Very difficult to get detail with black animals, you did very well. Maybe could be a little sharper in the face, just a little bit more DOF.

A black cat in a coal bin. Good job of getting detail on a difficult subject, even if it might be a little soft. I think the image would have been stronger if the cat was more in context, ie lurking in the shadows.

I think your angle and composition are very busy. I don't have a main focal point in this image to keep me. Perhaps another angle with less clutter in the shot would improve the sense of dead end/new life.

Photo seems to have too much detail. Very hard for the eye to rest on any one item.

There's too much going on here - what am I supposed to look at? Focusing in on the flowers or grass with the stump as a background might have gotten your title across better.

I like the subject, the colors, the texture. But the tilt is extreme and I don't understand how it adds to the subject. Feels a tad bit over exposed as well, but not terribly so.

What an interesting idea, great concept under the transparency category. I like that you were brave and put yourself out there, I think that is awesome. The subject is great, I love the combining of two subject like a woman and science. The first thing that hits me from the image is your shirt. The texture draws away from the subject just a little bit, I would have preferred a basic t-shirt either white or black. Also there seems to be a little bit of a line above your head on the left side, some one commented on possible window sill in the shot. I really love the warming feeling in the background color, it almost looks like a perfect backdrop. I think you did a great job I would have scored you higher then what you received. Good job.
