I bet you're getting hounded in the votes, here's what i think would be helpful. Currently the image is pretty busy...meaning when i look at the image, my eye doesn't know where to go because there's so much going on. The Highlights are a bit overexposed (we're loosing all detail) and the DOF is so shallow that it sends my eye to the right side of the frame but there's nothing there.

My gut tells me that all the elements of a photo should work together. The DOF and lighting should be used to direct the viewer's eye to an interesting portion of the photo (the subject). The subject should be interesting to begin with.

Most images also have a point of view. ie "Look at all the texture of this flower"

Kinda reminds me of aliens coming through the guys stomach in the movie Aliens... lol... interesting shot and title. It does have sweet colors though.

Looks like seeds of a fruit and the juice/pulp....maybe a pomegranate? Good puzzle for this challenge, I find the glare on the juice distracting and I'd like to see it more in focus.
