This is a neat shot. If it wasn't for the title, I wouldn't have understood it. I'm learning a lot of superstitions this week! I think this shot need ssomething more dramatic to really finish it off. The bowl seems to be slightly off center in the frame, to hurt the composition a bit. The bottom of the table being visible (ie. I can see "under the table") is a bit distracting. Maybe a different perspective could really finish this shot off, or maybe just a tighter verticaly crop would be cool? - JB

I never knew that one. Neat. Love your shot, but would of liked the bottome cropped tighter....really doesn't add to the shot and would of brought us closer to the bowl. I like this shot. Good luck. Justine

my pro photographer pal told me not to use tall rectangles unless i had a good reason. this is a fine picture, but the fact that i can see under the table doesn't really change it either way, so maybe this is one of the situations he's talking about. was there something on the sides of the bowl that needed to be cropped out?
