this is my favorite of these pictures. probably mostly because its all focused beautifully. but also becasue the flower that is the focus is nicely off center but still fully included(not cut off at all). its just great.

This is an interesting building and a night shot works well for it I think. I would crop more off of the bottom to get rid of the stop light and some of the street, even if you need to crop a bit off of the left to balance it some. The main interest lies in the "sail" portion of the building anyway.

Good time of evening to take it, while there is still a bit of blue in the sky. Very nice!

Shades of Blue

Shades of Blue

Comment by trnqlty:
There are a couple of things that would have helped this image. First it would be nice if the blue extended all the way to the bottom of the frame. The glasses could stand to be in sharper focus. And finally, I think the shades of blue are a little to close to one another. It would have made the image much more contrasty with a slightly wider range of the three shades. All that being said, you still did fairly well in the challenge and with a little tweaking this could go from a good image to a great one.

Double Strike

Comment by trnqlty:
wow, lightning shots are very cool but you rarely see them with a nice city scape as the foreground. The tungsten of the street lights contrasts well with the light of the sky. My only complaint is that it seems to be blurry on the left and right of the shot. Not sure why but not a big deal.

Nice. I love night skyline and reflection shots and this is just beautiful. It's a shame that the panos got to be so small. It might be just as interesting with just the right half.

Wow, if this is without photoshops magic, very nice shot. The double strike really makes this stand out.
