the image is sharp, i will give you that but "five candles in a box" pretty much says it all. I almost wonder if a photo needed to follow. Composition wise, i think it would have been stronger if you cropped some of the black from the bottom so the candles werent smack in the center of the image.

Well this is a very interesting picture, I remember seeing this during the challenge. I think your idea is excellent. Things that I might have tried base on your shot, is if you have her topless I would probably try pjs or underwear the jeans seems just a little weird with being topless. Also the subject of the knife is a little hidden by the tattoo distractions. I might have tried to destaturate and have some shine coming from the knife to draw in more attention. Or I might have even tried a black and white to see if it draws the knife out a little more in the shot. I do like the position and overall composition of the shot. I think from a voters point, because the subject is lot and the glow is very orange it took away from the score. I think you had a great idea and looking at your work I think you have some awesome ideas that we will continue see.

Nice photo...There are a few things that are a bit on the distracting side...There is some noise...Particularly in the top left ornament. Also, the image isn't screaming tack sharp but I suspect both of these may be due to camera. It also appears to be a bit flat, perhaps due to lack of contrast. Composition is very good: ornaments meet at a cingle focal point which is approximately following the rule of thirds. The stripes also lead to the focal point. Good neutral background here.

I would love to see this cropped so the box is on the lower third line instead of so near the center. Well exposed.

Very pretty. Very nicely composed, and I love the soft tones in this.

I like the concept, but feel this would have been stronger if the focus had been on a non-transparent bulb, or if the background had been white (rather than the pink color) to add some contrast. Just my opinion though.

Interesting cut off on the (I assume) black box. I am glad you choice an odd number.

Nice idea! I think I would have liked them less centered though.

I like the candles but not sure of shortness of them and the straight line.
