by yankoComment by Melethia: Bizarre in a way - at first it's a woman's body, then can't possibly be with that tiny figure... And they you realize that tiny figure is about to be eaten by sand. |

by yankoComment by Melethia: Definitely one of the most desolate. B&W serves it well. |

by yankoComment by Jutilda: I was about to say "you ain't in Texas, dude," when I saw that you were in Monterey. Those little squirrels that flit about the beach are darling. I saw them in Santa Monica. |

family portraitby yankoComment by Jedusi: Truly wonderful shot.
If I was to suggest any change at all it would be to darken the bright areas of the background to keep the viewer firmly fixed on this magnificent scene in the foreground.

Something about Slipby yankoComment by Strikeslip: :-(
I sadly revisit this photo... My barber, Tim, died in a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago, leaving two children. :-(
His shop was up for sale forever, and in the meantime I relented to let my evil wife cut my hair. I can tell when things start going wrong, because she starts laughing uncontrollably. This is a fact, and ubiquitous.
Finally Tim's barber shop reopened under a new owner. I went with high expectations, only to return home to embarrassment at the laughter of my wife and daughters. Photos of the carnage were posted.
I have since made a couple of visits to the ultra-expensive and flamboyant stylist who I already pay thousands of dollars to for my wife.
Most recently, I've found satisfaction in styling my own hair with a buzzer purchased at my favourite store, Canadian Tire. |
