I loved the thumbnail but was a little disappointed when I clicked. She's fantastic and I like the idea of the isolation but for my tastes you took it a bit too far. Now I get more of the impression that she's posed in front a background instead of a part of the action, singled out. For me, it's almost an incredible shot. |

~ Rhythm ~by yankoComment by KaDi: Great subject! The selective desaturation feels forced a bit...no doubt in an attempt to get rid of background distractions...just not really working so perfectly. For me, it's an "almost." |

yellow leafby yankoComment by Rebecca: I like this sort of contrast, and I have a thing for texture, so this shot does well for me. I do wish the entire branch was sharp (higher aperature?) instead of just the lower left. |

Fearlessby yankoComment by Rebecca: It does look like it's charging forward, doesn't it? Flipping it horizontally would not have the same effect since, at least in Western Civilization, we read left to right and that's the first place we westerners look for the action. I like the unique profile perspective, though there's a slight funky washed out blur thing going on the bottom. Overall, excellent shot! |
