Bug Huntby 3eyedcrowComment by JLC: What a beautiful bird! The blurred background works nicely here to bring attention to the bird. The colors are great! Good Work |

Wild Geraniumby 3eyedcrowComment by Jutilda: Another lovely flower close up. I might play with neat image to remove the grain of the background. The vivid tones and the pink/green theme is wonderful. ;~D |

Jacob's Ladderby 3eyedcrowComment by Jutilda: The bokeh is PERFECT. Love the DOF. You may not get many comments as DPC is "tired" of flower shots, but this is just superb. Beautiful tone and focus. WOWZA |

Spiderwortby 3eyedcrowComment by psart: The background flower is just at the point its distracting. I would of shot picture at higher f stop and kept it in focus to or would of used a lower f stop and completed unfocused it. I do love the main flower and stem, nice and crisp. Mabey try cropping out background flower completely. psart Keep trying your on the right track. |

Pi in Natureby 3eyedcrowComment by eqsite: Wow, I'm shocked at where this ended up. Don't let the score discourage you -- this is a fantastic image and my highest rated one in this challenge. I guess DPC voters just likely being knocked over the head by the challenge topic and won't spend the little time necessary to see the relevance. |

Pi in Natureby 3eyedcrowComment by johst582: This is one of my favourites - and people complain about "not meeting the challenge", "except the circle"... WTF?
Simply put, Pi is the conversion factor from a circle diameter to its circumference. *Pi* is ALL about circles, much more so than it is about the greek symbol "pi".
Looking at the photos in this "pi" challenge, it's like you have a challenge "apple" and people start shooting the word apple instead of real apples. Or perhaps the number "5" since it has five letters.
Keep up the good work, the other voters just didn't get it.
