Lines of vibrationby stphqComment by glad2badad: Most of the time I see guitar shots going the opposite direction, down the neck. Your approach is fresh. The DOF is hurting this a little, as it's hard to see much in focus. I'm not saying that some of it isn't in focus, just a large portion is not. Guessing by the light and reflections, you were near a window for light? Seems a bit strong on the left side of your photo. Did you consider trimming about 1/3 off the left side of this? Would have given more impact to the lines portion of this. All of this is obviously, JMO. ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

Lines of vibrationby stphqComment by e301: Compositionally, i think I would have tried a more definite diagonal to this: especially for the landscape orientation. This way, a portrait shot would have allowed your to include simply more of your lines, and to present the length of them better. Some more care with light might also help the impact of the image - those reflections aren't helping the overall sense of tidiness, neatness of the shot. |

Blessed Be The Glassby stphqComment by Tom: next time try cropping it so His back is a little chopped off, and on the other side you can see the walking stick more. I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when you take a "portrait" of someone looking away, you want them to be looking more "into" the picture, not right to the edge of it. |

Blessed Be The Glassby stphqComment by Jaded_Housewife: Weird, usually from the sunlight shining thorough you get beautiful amber tones of light coming through stained glass. its odd to me how youve gotten true white through it. makes it look fake. would be much better with truer colors. |

Blessed Be The Glassby stphqComment by rinac: The challenge is about "creatively" shooting glass, not just shooting "creative glass"... I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound rude. In any event, as lovely as this stained glass window is, the exposure is still not quite right.... :( Nice try though... |
