The idea is really good in my opinion. However, with the picture being out of focus, with the egg placed right in the middle of the image (too static) and with the distracting details around the egg the image is too flawed in terms of technical execution.

This seems like a great starting point for a strong entry. But the location you've found this in doesn't really help it much and the light is very harsh. Compositionally you could perhaps get in closer and maybe have the subject not quite so bang in the center of the frame. Focus seems a bit soft too.

Thank you for all the comments on my first submission. This photo was not taken with the idea to submit it in any challenge, and it had to be taken in quite a rush as the player did not really care much to pose, hence the "snapshot" feel of the photo.
When I looked at the challenge "from the gound up" I felt that this photo may qualify for the challenge because the idea is to get the ball from the ground up and over the cross bar.
