Carrera GTby jan_vdwComment by daisypaige: This is a nice view of the car. I think it could be a little bit sharper, but is over all a nice picture. |

DSCF7347.jpgby jan_vdwComment by PHOTOKID: Again this photo has some strong leading lines to it, THe only thing that really throws off the composition would be the tire in the upper right area. For some reason my eye keeps commming back to it. The diagonal to the upper left where it is lighter is good because an eye is drawn to the lighter spot on a photo.
Nice technicals again. Could do some PP in photoshop to bring down the white behind the drvers seat a bit.

DSCF7356.jpgby jan_vdwComment by PHOTOKID: Hey Jan,
You did a good job with the composition of this photo, the rear transaxle makes a good leading line to the upper right while the rest of the car makes a diagonal to the upper left. May want to try a grunge look to the engine a bit to lessen some of the highlights. I took it into photoshop to do a quick version of it. I hope you do not mind
Good job with the technicals. Hope my steps help.

Rugby00.jpgby jan_vdwComment by MattO: Not a bad photo. Remember a couple of things when setting up for shooting, first where is the sun if at all possible dont shoot towards it, sometimes its unavoidable other times you can. Next I try and position myself for where the lens I have selected can get fill the frame shots to reduce the cropping that I do. I always get better shots that way and they will print much bigger, but remember the closer you are to the subject the more demanding that is on your focus system being dead on. Keep shooting! |

Crashingby jan_vdwComment by Brad: Hate to be cruel, but this needs some serious help in the post-processing, as the overall tones are far too yellow. In regards to the composition, there are two main focal points - the wave crashing and the upright pole on the left side. A tighter crop so the pier/jetty starts out of the frame would probably have been better so there isn't competition for where my eyes are drawn. The other issue is the noise levels in the sky - affects the overall quality a lot.
If you need help in post-processing or links to tips, tutorials and help, please don't hesitate to PM me during or after the challenge.
I have not voted on this image, but would be in the 3-4 range. |

Crashingby jan_vdwComment by bassbone: the composition of this image is really pretty good but the white balance seems off and the sky is very noisy. Both should be fixable in advanced editing. |

Crashingby jan_vdwComment by karmat: i like the old "aged" look of this. kinda like a film print from the 70s that has started aging and changing colors. |
