Like Wink said, strong lines! Leading the eye to the person. I think the centred composition works here because of those lines and because the birds are off centred. Good stuff!

Nice range of dark to white there with lots of middle tones too. Herding pigeons is quite a task. But they can make or break a street photo. I have recently taken to carrying a little dried bread in my pockets just in case I need to bribe them ;-)
