Stormy weatherby quiet_observationComment by Teafran: A good demonstration of how lighting can be used to create a "noir" effect - it matches the challenge in every respect because both the subject and the lighting is used in a creative fashion to capture a mood piece that is outstanding. Sometimes images can tell stories and this image sparks the imagination which is what lighting is all about. Well done. |

Stormy weatherby quiet_observationComment by Mark-A: Great sense of drama in this shot - doesn't seem to be much in the shot at first glance but it definitely has me intrigued the more I look at it. |

Stormy weatherby quiet_observationComment by fitz3000: there is nothing concrete in this photo, if it wasn't the title I wouldn't know what it's all about, I wonder what's the blurry thing at the back, is it a tree? It is really distracting |

The glory of the morningby quiet_observationComment by Citadel: It almost looks like a drawing to me but upon closer inspection I can see that it is a silhouette of the vine. It might be a little too subtle for this crowd but kudos for trying something off the beaten path. |

The glory of the morningby quiet_observationComment by raish: How come you missed the brown? You got the suck brown (now visible with Rob's new code sequence) and it makes one of the great browns, i.e. a genre of its own that flies right under the radar of dpc standard ribbon but is undoubtedly a worthy picture.
Glory glory glory, wham bam minimalism and all there. |
