This one would have worked better in landscape orientation. With his feet nearly touching the bottom of the frame and chopping off the price list, this one feels too tense. I also tend to steer clear of art geared toward political statements. Even still, you had a great start here. With a simple flip of the camera, I think that this one would have been a great deal stronger.

i like this, the title really made me look around the shot and that was great, i have to say i am looking at this in work at about 8:00am, i am now hungry and want a Hot choc and Muffin.

I like the almost lowkey approach to the lighting on this - does a great job of creating the very real reflections. And isn't that a band?

Not a good idea to draw attention to a tiny portion of the photo at the edge of the frame. I got lost trying to determine the message and point of the picture. The political statement you're making in the photo title has nothing to do with the contest, or at the very least doesn't connect the contest subject with your statement. Maybe showing the bumper sticker with a homeless person in the distance and titling it "would they have made a difference" or similar would tie the political statement and contest subject together.

What a great shot. It has a very photojournalistic quality to it.

Cool, was this taken in the same window that you did the beautiful flower histogram with? Nice focus and nice abstract feel.

LOL - I suspect a lot of the Americans on this site are going to vote according to their politics on this one. And anyone who has read the forums knows there is quite a contingent of very vocal conservatives here. I've gotta agree with you, though, Nick was right - and I hope that guy's son and/or daughter isn't in Iraq right now.
