Octoberby agwrightComment by e301: This is, and I must point out that I didn't get to vote on every shot, the most ideal 'calendar' photo i've seen in the challenge. Clever work - exactly the kind of representative, season-specific shot that one would expect, exactly the saturation, exactly the feel. My only gripe would be with the amount of sky - it gives a slight feeling of missing something to the composition. I can see your reasons, with that slight feel of clouds there to add some interest, but I think you've sacrificed more to get that in that you have won from including it. But excellent work: it should be exactly this orthodox, ordinarily 'classic' photography: I think you perhaps got marked down for getting it too right. |

Forgottenby agwrightComment by neonv: I'm a sucker for textures, and i love the way this one plays off me retinas. bravo and nice.. although the framing is a bit odd, the bottom leaves are a bit fuzzy even though they take up a bit section of the eye pull |

Forgottenby agwrightComment by thatcloudthere: I like the idea, title, and composition but that bike just looks too darn new and fresh to have that 'forgotten' look. I know I'm being picky, but only because the right subject would have earned this an 8. As is, I'll score it a 6 because that bike is just too uninteresting. It also seems a little overexposed...

Fallen Leavesby agwrightComment by ahaze: I like the concept- but I think my idea of impressionism is different than yours. I would rather see the entire thing with a super soft focus, to give the impression, rather than the specific details visible here. |
