Wow, this is an oddly compelling shot. It's like the year 2005 caught in a time-warp via these interesting ladies. There is so much interesting detail to take in. I love how the lady on the left has her serviette tucked up into her shirt!

Looked for the crowd, then the DOF .. I think the DOF is affecting the window but not the others in the picture.

I love this. So 50's, so real life down to earth. However, I feel the crop is a little too tight and the depth of field not short enough to make this a truly great photo. It also might be improved by change to black and white. This is the kind of subject I often dream of finding and you have done well here. I don't think typical DPC voters will enjoy the image for what it is - no sunset here, but its a good photo non-the-less. Something more you would expect to see at a gallery handling 'real life' images. Diners are great spots for that. :) Subject, technical merit, connection to viewer - 8 - good luck in the challenge!

The challenge asked for a person to be singled out in a crowd using shallow depth of field. There's a lot in focus here.
