When good photographers go badby DrAchooComment by Gatorguy: Just so you know that not all camera owners are brand zealots, I gave you a six - I liked the attitude and the toned down colors, but didn't care for the wrinkled background.
When I was younger and into Chevy muscle cars from the late '60's one of my favorite pastimes was ridiculing Ford. For the last 15 years I've been driving Ford trucks. Go figure. |

When good photographers go badby DrAchooComment by Stagolee: C’mon Doc, tell me that your not complaining about the score, this has got to be a total parody.
I didn’t vote on this one but I got a chuckle from the image so it would have scored it about a 6 or 7 I like images that make me laugh.
The spread of scores is interesting. 9 tens, that must be from people who recognized you and 21 one’s that must be from people that recognized you but don’t like you.
I would have liked to have seen the fist close together for us slow members so we could sound out the words easier. Absolutely love the wrinkled backdrop together with the mid-drift fashion gives the real trailer trash effect.
Not sure if the white shirt with white backdrop work together but certainly gives a bright feel to the image maybe a splash of blood on the shirt or a piece of processed cheese dribbled on it would have broken up the white.
What this image really needed was the bling it screamed out bling bling maybe some lenscap bling from the ears or lenscape bling from the chin just a little more lenscap bling somewhere would have kept those DNMC Nazis away.
Great to see you letting your creative juices flow.
PS Nearly forgot the bandana... now that is sooooo cool, needed a splash of red in it but. |

When good photographers go badby DrAchooComment by Man_Called_Horse: responding to your question in your authored thread.
first you did get an above average score. second you received two favs.
I did not participate, nore did I vote in this challenge.
On the image itself.
Humorous, comp ok, but maybe a bit tighter header. whites need tweeking. too washed out, should have more texture to be convincing. Blacks seem just ok. color flat, light ok, bg should be wrinkle free.ok shadows on face giving dimensional value. expression of model nice giving emotional value. overall the picture could be better. maybe bring the shutter speed faster, or open up the iris.
Your work is usually outstanding. This example is not one of them.
just my thoughts. Message edited by author 2006-05-24 09:28:46. |
