AMAZING! I have tried to capture these guys a few times! VERY DIFFICULT indeed! Do you ALWAYS use a tripod with your macro? I have been lectured TO DEATH about using a tripod! I want to hand hold, LOL! Could be why most of my shots are a blurry mess!

Mate - very nicely done, and like the others say, a nice, subtle idea. Congrats on having a living specimen at the end of it too - I shouldn't say how many fly-sicles we produced with that method in 7th form biology experiments... ;)

This will or should win. No other spider photo has the vibrant color, nor the malicious look to it that this one does. The white coming off the front legs is brilliant, along with the halloween feel you get from the pumpkinesque background. The fact that it is preparing a meal makes it that much better, plus you can't tell what is in the spun tomb. That leaves it open to the possibility that it is something scary...like me.
