Oh this is great, Erin! One of the reasons I'd almost rather they didn't know I was shooting them is because normally when people know they are being photographed, they get all awkward and way too "posed". But this guy. ..what a great model. He didn't skip a beat and looks as natural as anything!

I like this one a lot. There's a lot of complementary elements, like the colour of his shirt and the cyan colour behind him, the rough textures in back and his less-than-smooth skin, and the symmetry hinted at by the earrings, the shirt crests, and his eyes. His expression is adequately intense too. Great shot. My choice might have been to rotate to offer a straight line at the window sill, but what do I know. This is great, and congratulations on approaching a stranger for a picture.

I think I like this version better, the colors look a little washed in the color one, IMO. You caught alot of detail in his eyes, great closeup portrait.

Really lovely again. I prefer the b/w as well. Is it the evenness of the tones that make me also prefer black and whites? The tendency to notice contrast maybe? Maybe nostalgia too.
