Into the Woodsby PrismComment by MelonMusketeer: I like this image a lot. I am drawn right into the scene by the opening and the light down the center. It's the sort of place that would make me feel very comfortable, and you have captured the "vibe" of the location very nicely. Excellent! |

Circlingby PrismComment by JuliBoc: Very ominous, both the bird of prey and the stormy sky. I'd try to sharpen the silhouette, perhaps with a very fine clone tool around the edge. |

Into the Woodsby PrismComment by JuliBoc: I adore the light in this photo. You did an amazing job of combining your images. I would really like to know how you did it. There is so much vibrancy in this landscape. The composition draws me in. I even feel hesitant to enter, because that tall grass looks like it harbors a lot of ticks. I'll just have to pull on my boots and go for it. |

Circlingby PrismComment by MaryO: Kind of a creepy silhouette with all those storm clouds. Sky looks pretty good for having started noisy. |

Into the Woodsby PrismComment by MaryO: Very verdant. I might try cropping tighter on the left so the scene is framed by the two leaning trees, mostly to get rid of some of the hanging dead branches. |

Cedar Waxwingby PrismComment by JuliBoc: This is a nice field guide sort of photo, but I like the first one better. That one gives me the feel of the natural setting, and I like the way the branches sweep up to the top left corner. I don't mind the fact that the bird is looking out of the frame. However, you did a great job of removing the branch and that is a big improvement. |

Wild Strawberry Blossomsby PrismComment by Bujanx: What I really like about this picture is the small spider on the side. You can just tell he's planning on building a web to catch all those bugs and bees who will be coming for the pollen!

Waitingby PrismComment by Bujanx: What? I always thought these were female cardinals! Having just compared your picture to actual female cardinals I am wrong =( I've taken a few shots of birds like this and just always assumed what they were. Thanks for teaching me something! Very pretty birds. |

Waitingby PrismComment by JuliBoc: I'm pretty sure this is a Cedar Waxwing. I can't see the wings, but the breast is buff colored rather than slate, and there is a touch of white above the black marking on the face.
References: Cedar Waxwing, and Bohemian Waxwing.
They are such beautiful birds, you are lucky to have the opportunity to photograph them. |

Wild Strawberry Blossomsby PrismComment by JuliBoc: Oh, these little delicate blossoms are pretty. I haven't seen wild strawberries since we moved to Florida. This picture really takes me back to a world that has gentle Springs. |
